The Ross Minority Program in Real Estate (RMPIRE) is a technical training program for professionals and entrepreneurs interested in real estate. Lectures are designed to help professionals sharpen existing real estate development skills, learn new ones, and gain an invaluable network that is crucial for operating in the relationship-oriented industry that is real estate.
Class sizes are kept small, typically 15 to 25, to allow for maximum participation and extensive faculty-student interaction. Admission to RMPIRE is competitive and selective. We aim to enroll individuals who will contribute to a rich and stimulating learning environment and benefit from an accelerated program.
Who should apply?
The program is designed to provide real estate practitioners, non-profit and community leaders, public sector decision makers, and entrepreneurs with a practical understanding of the real estate development process.
The ideal Ross student is a creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit who has some familiarity with the real estate development and planning process. Motivated by the risks and rewards of the real estate industry, the Ross student thrives on obstacles and challenges and is compelled to bring substantive change to blighted and underserved communities. A typical Ross student is responsible and civic-minded with a keen interest in urban and community revitalization.
Students are required to possess and work from a laptop computer containing Excel 2010 (or newer version) and a working knowledge of Excel.
