Loren Borstein

Biography

Loren Borstein joined Borstein Enterprises in 2005 and oversees the organization’s residential investments. The company acts as a debt and equity partner providing bridge, construction, mezzanine, and joint venture financing to third party builders as well as purchasing notes from financial institutions.

With 16 years in the real estate industry, Loren has worked for three private homebuilders with a focus on urban infill development and affordable ownership product.  Loren began his career at the E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate group, working with residential developers, financial institutions, investment banks and government agencies.  Loren spent almost a year working in Asia during the economic crisis of 1998, assisting with asset valuation, loan workouts and portfolio sales. 

Loren has donated time to the Jimmy Carter Collaboration Center’s Atlanta Project and is currently a board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Los Angeles as well as the Borstein Family Foundation.  Loren received his Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and has an MBA from the University of Southern California with a focus on real estate and finance.  Loren lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife and son.
