Real estate professors at USC's Lusk Center say O.C. rents will rise 4 percent to 5 percent this year vs. a 5.9 percent hike in 2006. Visitors to the Lansner on Real Estate blog were asked what they thought about that outlook. Here are the results from 496 votes cast in what's an unscientific sample of public sentiment: 12.1 percent: Much lower 22.8 percent: Somewhat lower 23.8 percent: About that 29.0 percent: Somewhat higher 12.3 percent: Much higher
