Family reunion has new meaning: More U.S. households include multiple generations

...Another recent study by Gary Painter, associate professor in the School of Policy Planning and Development at the University of Southern California, showed that more young people are living with their parents instead of moving out. The number of American households dropped by an estimated 1.2 million between 2005 and 2008 even as the population grew, the study said.
