Los Angeles – The director of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate (www.usc.edu/lusk), Stuart Gabriel, Ph.D., has been named president of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA). The largest and most prestigious group of real estate and urban economists from academia, AREUEA begins its 40th year as a leading-edge resource for information and analysis in the fields of real estate development, planning and economics.
“It’s an honor to lead a group of the foremost academic experts in the field of real estate. We will continue to provide a forum for analysis and research and bring together scholars from around the world as we address increasingly complex issues of real estate finance and economics,” said Dr. Gabriel, the Lusk Chair in Real Estate and professor of finance and business economics at the USC Marshall School of Business.
Dr. Gabriel also serves on the editorial board of AREUEA's quarterly journal Real Estate Economics, considered the leading scholarly journal focusing on real estate and urban economics topics. It contains research and scholarly studies of current and emerging real estate issues. The Association (www.areuea.org) also holds international conferences attracting economists from around the globe.
