Professor Yongheng Deng and Professor Stuart Gabriel of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate received the Homer Hoyt Best Paper Award for their research paper entitled, "Modeling the Performance of FHA-Insured Loans: Borrower Heterogeneity and the Exercise of Mortgage Default and Prepayment Options".
The award was presented to the professors at the Asia Real Estate Society and American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association Joint International Conference held in Seoul, South Korea, from July 3-5.
