Schwimmer has served as Rexford’s co-chief executive and on the company’s board of directors since July 2013. Last year, the company’s annual revenue was $0.8 billion, up 26.4% from 2022. Earlier this year, Rexford Industrial acquired BlackStone Real Estate assets, adding approximately 3 million square feet of industrial properties to its portfolio. The investment totaled $1 billion, comprising 48 properties throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties. The portfolio was 98% leased at time of closing. The deal came out to $332 per square foot. Before joining Rexford, Schwimmer served as cofounder and senior managing partner of Rexford’s predecessor business and president of Rexford Industrial Realty & Management Inc. He also held positions at Daum Commercial Real Estate. He is a graduate of USC where he majored in business with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. He serves on the USC Lusk Center Real Estate Leadership Council, is the former president and current board member of USC Hillel, and is the former chair of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation, Real Estate Principals Organization.
