Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and a Principal of CIM Group, has been an active real estate investor for more than 25 years. Since co-founding the firm in 1994, Mr. Kuba has been an integral part of building CIM Group’s investment platforms.  As a Principal and head of the firm’s development group, he is actively involved in the development, redevelopment and repositioning of CIM Group’s real estate investments including notable projects such as 432 Park Avenue in New York City.  Additionally, Mr. Kuba is instrumental in sourcing new investment transactions and establishing and maintaining relationships with national and regional retailers, hospitality brands and restaurateurs.

Since 1994, CIM has been a partner to investors seeking urban real estate or infrastructure investment in North American communities qualified by CIM.  Mr. Kuba continues to be involved in growing CIM, a vertically-integrated, full-service investment manager with more than 500 employees and multi-disciplinary expertise including investment, development, leasing and property management, capital markets, and accounting.  Under his co-leadership, CIM has systematically and successfully invested in dynamic and densely populated communities throughout North America by drawing on its experienced team of professionals to identify and pursue investment opportunities in five strategic categories: repositioning and development projects, well-positioned operating properties, value-add properties, debt, and infrastructure.

Mr. Kuba serves on the firm’s Investment and Asset Management Committees and provides guidance on the diverse investment ideas across CIM Group’s platforms.  He is also a board member of CIM Commercial Trust Corporation, (NASDAQ:  CMCT), a real estate investment trust (REIT) that principally acquires, owns, and stabilized Class A and creative office properties located in vibrant and improving urban communities throughout the U.S.  Prior to CIM Group, Mr. Kuba was involved in a number of successful entrepreneurial real estate activities including co-founding Dekel Development, which developed a variety of commercial and multifamily properties in Los Angeles.
