Michael J. Gillmore, an audit partner with over 38 years of public accounting experience, led Ernst & Young’s Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction Practice for the West Region for the past 13 years. Over the course of his career, Mike has worked in several Ernst & Young offices, including Orange County, National Office (Cleveland), Denver and Los Angeles. He has extensive experience providing accounting, audit, M&A and business advisory services to numerous engineering and construction companies, homebuilders, developers, REIT’s and other real estate clients. Mike has or currently does serve some of West Region's largest global clients. Mike's current and past clients include Aecom, Jacobs Engineering Group, Public Storage, PS Business Parks, Colony Capital, CBRE Group and CalAtlantic Group.
Mike has a bachelor's degree in business and accounting from California State University, Fullerton. He is a CPA in California and a member of the California Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.
Mike serves on the Advisory Board at the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California. He is an active member of ULI, NAREIT and NACD. Mike also has been a frequent speaker and author on local and national real estate issues and trends.
