Jason Acosta

Senior Vice President
Foundation for Affordable Housing

As Senior Vice President for Foundation for Affordable Housing (“FFAH”), Mr. Acosta joined FFAH in 2015, supporting the portfolio management of the company's affordable housing division, a portfolio totaling over $2 billion in development. He is responsible for the leadership, management and growth of the company as well as maintaining asset stabilization and preservation while collaborating with various public and private partners. Being in the real estate business for approximately 20 years, both on the private equity and nonprofit sectors, Jason has been an integral member of the Foundation’s leadership team, with a focus on building lasting partnerships, delivering innovative solutions, and providing uncompromising service. Jason’s broad experience in asset and portfolio management helps housing developers mitigate portfolio risks as well as maintain operating efficiency throughout the asset life cycle for more than 180 assets under management.  Prior to joining FFAH, Jason worked for two of the largest national real estate developers and owners, Sentinel Real Estate Corporation and National Core, where he oversaw an extensive portfolio of Class A, B and value-added products throughout the United States. Jason holds a MBA and professional certifications in Real Estate Investment from New York University and the University of Southern California. He is also pursuing an Executive Master’s Degree of Urban Planning at USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.  Jason currently serves on the Committee Advisory Board for REA-L, and is an active mentor for the All Ways Up Foundation’s Scholars.
