Evan joined Alvarez & Marsal Capital Real Estate in 2012 and focuses on asset acquisitions, due diligence and underwriting. A&M Capital Real Estate is a principal real estate investment / management arm of the global professional services firm, Alvarez & Marsal, Inc.
Evan has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience, involving over $900 million in investment transaction activity. Over the course of his career, his responsibilities have included acquisitions and dispositions, underwriting and due diligence, asset management, financing, capital raising, and strategic planning. Evan’s CRE experience includes office, industrial, R&D, hospitality, and mixed-use, and well as development management of single and multi-family residential projects.
Prior to his graduate degree program at USC, Evan worked at a Southern California-based development firm. While there, Evan led capital raising efforts to fund $40MM of new development projects, lowered debt costs by securing cross-border financing solutions in Asia and Europe, and helped transition the firm’s investment strategy to the acquisition of bank REO assets / construction notes in the face of The Great Recession.
Evan earned a BS in Economics (with a concentration in Management Science) from the University of California, San Diego, and an MBA from The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. In addition to his USC Lusk Center for Real Estate membership, Evan is a member of NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute.
