Ara H. Rostamian is the Vice President of Marcus & Millichap, located in Century City. He is widely recognized within the real estate industry for his expertise in the single tenant net leased product, ground up development, and re-development of retail properties throughout Southern California and the Western States.

In 2019, Ara joined forces with his partner Orbell Ovaness to launch their retail-focused team at Marcus & Millichap. The team advises clients on the strategic acquisition, disposition, and re-positioning of retail properties in Los Angeles, Southern California, and major MSA's throughout the United States. With their combined efforts, the team has successfully sold over $2.2 billion in investment properties across the country.

With over 16 years of experience in retail real estate, Ara has an impressive background. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he served as the Vice President of the National Net Lease Group at SRS Real Estate Partners. There he successfully transacted over $64 million in retail deals. Before that, he worked for Strategic Development Advisors for 10 years where he played a direct role in over $115 million worth of retail investment transactions and sourced over $30 million in retail development sites for developer clients, equating to over $60 million in retail development project values. Ara's extensive knowledge of valuation and development enables him to source retail opportunities with value-add potential for redevelopment or re-positioning.

Ara's industry recognition as an investment expert has led to speaking engagements on various panels regarding retail investment and development trends. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Los Angeles Estate Planning Council, USC Price Real Estate Affiliates, USC Alumni Real Estate Network, and USC Lusk Center for Real Estate. Additionally, Ara earned a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate from California State University Northridge (CSUN). He also frequently mentors USC alumni throughout the commercial real estate industry.
