Jim Kasim serves as Managing Principal of Varden Capital Advisors, a boutique real estate advisory and capital markets firm that specializes in providing financial advisory and capital markets solutions to clients primarily in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to forming the company, Jim served in several executive capacities with publicly-listed and privately-held real estate investment companies and has been involved with in excess of $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions. In addition, Jim previously served with Ernst & Young’s Real Estate and Hospitality practice, where his clients included some of the largest real estate and hospitality companies in the nation.
Jim received an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated with honors, and a Masters degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University. Jim also has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and also a Certified Management Accountant.
Jim serves on the Executive Committee for the Lusk Center for Real Estate at USC and has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the School of Policy, Planning and Development in the Masters of Real Estate Program at USC.
