Sixth Annual NAIOP USC vs UCLA Real Estate Challenge

April 10, 2003

You are invited to attend the Sixth Annual NAIOP Southern California Real Estate Challenge. Each year students from UCLA's Anderson MBA program and USC's Marshall MBA and Master of Real Estate Development programs go head-to-head. USC leads the competition 3 to 2 and has won the last 2 years in a row. We are aiming for a 3-peat and plan to keep the Silver Shovel prize safely on cardinal and gold turf.

The NAIOP Challenge will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2003. The program starts off at 6:00 pm with a networking reception attended by real estate professionals from throughout Southern California, followed by the student presentations at 7:00 pm. The event will be held at Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles.

The task presented to the students this year is:
"You are a developer seeking a large investment from an institutional investment fund, established to revitalize a vacant or underutilized property in Downtown Los Angeles. Select a small area within the downtown market and demonstrate your strategy to the investor on why this is the best location to jump-start the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles."

We hope that you will join the USC Lusk Center in supporting the USC team to victory! The attached invitation contains information on registration and the program. The registration deadline is Friday, April 4.
