On Thursday, October 22nd at 6 p.m., the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate and Urban Real Estate Professionals will host a panel discussion on the theme "Redeveloping Urban Communities for the New Millennium". Confirmed panelists include Rudy Montiel, President & CEO of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, who will present plans to redevelop Jordan Downs public housing complex in Watts, Gerard McCallum of Wilson Meany Sullivan who will describe "Hollywood Park Tomorrow" in Inglewood, which will transform one of the largest undeveloped land parcels in Los Angeles County, and Walter Cathey, Regional Real Estate Director of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets who will discuss Fresh & Easy's commitment to establish more grocery stores that offer healthy food choices to underserved urban communities. Xavier Gutierrez, Principal and Managing Director, will provide a capital markets prospective. Carolyn Hull, South Los Angeles Regional Administrator for CRA-LA, will moderate the discussion.
