NAIOP Real Estate Challenge VII: USC vs UCLA

The gauntlet has been laid. The Challenge is on. Stakes are even higher this year. USC leads the competition 4-2. Will the Trojans four-peat? Will the prized Silver Shovel remain on Cardinal and Gold turf?

You are invited to attend the Seventh Annual NAIOP Southern California Real Estate Challenge. Each year students from UCLA's Anderson MBA program and USC's Marshall MBA and Master of Real Estate Development programs go head-to-head.

The task: "Both schools have been given an existing RFP, “Reimagining Grand Avenue,” provided by The Los Angeles Grand Avenue Authority. The task is to present their development plans for improving four parcels on or adjacent to Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles with a mixed-use, high-density development, urban renewal project. The project presented must transform the area around the Los Angeles Civic Center, provide a catalyst for new high-quality commercial and residential development in downtown LA, and create a landmark that will establish Grand Avenue as the heart and soul of a vibrant and exciting downtown."

The program is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at The Center at Cathedral Plaza, adjacent to the Cathedral of our Lady of Angeles in Downtown Los Angeles. The evening kicks off at 6:00 pm with a networking reception attended by real estate professionals from throughout Southern California. Team presentations are at 7:00 pm with the winner announced at 8:15 pm.
