Liliana Aide Monge is an accomplished executive leader with over 25 years of expertise in economic development, nonprofits, real estate, and technology innovation. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sabio, a nationally recognized technical training program that has trained over 1,500 professionals and assisted many in securing roles with Fortune 500 companies. Under her leadership, Sabio has grown from a $2,500 budget to a $6 million operation, providing cutting-edge software engineering training and advancing diversity in tech through initiatives like the Women in Tech Scholarship Fund.
Previously, Liliana served as a New Markets Tax Credit Advisor at Lowe Enterprises, where she helped close $50M+ in investments and supported public-private partnerships. She also co-founded MySoCalListings.com, an innovative online real estate consulting platform, and contributed to redevelopment projects valued at over $200M through her work with The Ometeotl Group.
Liliana holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College and has completed leadership programs at Stanford Graduate School of Business and UCLA's Riordan Fellowship. Her board service includes leadership roles with Open Access and DIY Girls, where she helped organizations significantly scale their impact.
Currently, Liliana focuses on expanding equitable access to education and economic opportunities, particularly in tech and economic development as a board member for Open Access. She resides in Los Angeles and continues to drive transformative change in communities across the nation.

Danny J. Bakewell, III is an accomplished consultant and community leader with extensive experience in project management, coalition building, and digital equity. Currently serving as the President of DB3 Consulting, Danny works with a diverse range of public and private sector clients, helping organizations build meaningful connections and deliver impactful outcomes.
Danny’s career began with JKH Consulting in 2018, where he excelled as an Outreach Advisor. By 2021, he was promoted to Vice President, overseeing critical initiatives for major organizations such as The Fund for Guaranteed Income, Los Angeles World Airports, Metro, and LA-Tech.org. In his role as Digital Equity Liaison for LA-Tech.org, Danny has worked tirelessly to bridge the digital divide by fostering partnerships between community organizations and local government agencies.
Danny honed his project management skills at the Bakewell Company, coordinating major events like Taste of Soul and managing several shopping centers across Los Angeles County. Working with the Fund for Guaranteed Income, Danny has shown his ability to lead teams and enhance customer service experiences. He has been instrumental in servicing over 2,000 participants nationwide, ensuring personalized support and successful outcomes.
Danny’s dedication to community outreach and relationship-building reflects his passion for empowering underserved communities. Whether working with non-profit organizations, government entities, or private companies, he prioritizes collaboration and equity at every level.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Danny enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching football, and discovering new television shows.

Bonnie Brown’s experience spans over 20 years, having had responsibility for over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial properties. She holds management positions within locally and nationally known real estate companies, including Pacific West Asset Management Corporation, Triple Net, and Westfield Shoppingtown. Before founding Affinity Property Management, Inc. as President, Bonnie was Vice President of Asset Management at J D Property Management, Inc.
Throughout Bonnie’s career, she has amassed experience in property management, leasing, and construction management. Her leadership and communication skills have produced a proven track record in business relationships, cost control, and budget implementation.
Bonnie received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara, Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. She is a licensed California real estate broker and broker on records on Affinity Property Management, Inc.
Bonnie resides with her husband and two children in Orange County, California. She enjoys traveling and trying world cuisines.
Bonnie is looking forward to growing and learning from everyone and improving her knowledge and skills in commercial real estate development with the opportunity to revitalize and repurpose obsolete properties, applying traditional values to a diverse environment.

The words “General Contractor” conjures the image of a middle-aged man wearing jeans and boots wearing a hardhat, reviewing plans in the bed of his pickup truck on a job site. Enter Ms. Lauryn Burnett: who owns M3 Services. M3 Services is a full-service construction and construction management firm based in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Burnett is a petite, soft-spoken female General Contractor who maximizes her 20+ years’ experience as a licensed real estate broker, her contractor’s license, certificates in both Construction Management and Construction Quality Management along with her B.S. in Business Finance and her MBA in International Business. Lauryn uses her comprehensive experience and finesse to win municipal, state and federal projects such as: GSA, FAA, NAVFAC, FBI, Army Reserve, Southern CA Edison, Build-LACCD, County of LA, City of El Monte, City of Hermosa Beach, CSU Los Angeles, CSU Dominquez Hills, Fannie Mae and many more. With a strong concern for her clients, she does not make major decisions out of the back of a truck. Lauryn and her team, experts on construction and estimating projects, easily manage projects by paying attention to pertinent site issues as well as budgetary concerns.
Lauryn is a member of the Board of Directors for NAMC-SC (National Assoc. of Minority Contractors, Southern California Chapter), and an alumnus of Cal State Dominguez Hills. She is also focused on giving back to the community. Lauryn takes a lot of pride in her work. The difference is in the details and the bottom line is that they have happy clients by running a smooth project from start to finish. She doesn’t just send in subcontractors –she shows up and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Her smile and personal touch are omnipresent even when unexpected challenges surface. Obstacles are no match for Lauryn; she simply puts on her MBA hat and uses her advanced strategic problem-solving skills to formulate an innovative solution. Her vision is success and thus she continues to pursue it daily. Lauryn feels that success is a ladder that cannot be climbed with your hands in your pockets. Karla Castro is a passionate analyst and development specialist at the Los Angeles County Development Authority, making a remarkable difference since 2019. With over 20 years of experience as a community center site director, she expertly oversees site maintenance and collaborates with vendors to provide top-notch services.
Mrs. Castro's unwavering commitment to vulnerable populations shines through her innovative programs that deliver vital resources in housing, education, and community engagement. Her extensive experience in budget management ensures that all efforts comply with funding policies, allowing for effective use of resources.
Since joining LACHDC-I’s property management team in 2023, Mrs. Castro has become instrumental in property acquisitions and driving inclusive growth. Her dedication to enhancing community service makes her an invaluable asset to the Los Angeles County Development Authority.
Mrs. Castro holds a Master's in Educational Leadership and Human Services from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA. Eager to implement the insights and skills she gained through the Ross Program for Minorities in Real Estate, she is thrilled to embark on her new role as an Analyst in the Rental Assistance Demonstration Division (RAD), where she aims to help preserve affordable housing throughout Los Angeles County.

Melvin Cowan is the founder and principal of Enough Housing, a consulting firm committed to advancing equitable and sustainable housing solutions. With over a decade of experience in affordable housing development, two decades in community development, and policy, Melvin leads a talented team specializing in housing development, grant acquisition, and strategic policy advising.
As a seasoned housing and supportive services expert, Melvin has successfully managed programs serving vulnerable populations, overseeing a staff of 125 across Alameda County. His leadership has driven transformative initiatives, including the development of two tiny home communities, an RV Safe Parking Program, a county-wide rental assistance initiative, and the management of seven permanent supportive housing programs. These efforts have provided stable housing and critical services to hundreds of residents.
Currently, Melvin and his team are advancing a pipeline of innovative projects, including motel-to-permanent supportive housing conversions and an affordable housing development initiative in Oakland. His work reflects a deep commitment to addressing housing instability through integrated housing and supportive service solutions.
Melvin is a USC Ross Program in Real Estate candidate 2025 member of the ULI Developers of Color cohort (2024-2025) where he is expanding his expertise in real estate finance and development. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is recognized for his strategic leadership, operational expertise, and dedication to housing equity.
Guided by the belief that quality housing and supportive services are fundamental rights, Melvin and his team are tackling the housing crisis with innovative, impactful solutions that promote resilience and equity in underserved communities. Melvin is eager to connect and collaborate with fellow USC Ross colleagues, professors, and guest speakers to exchange ideas, learn from industry leaders, and work together on innovative solutions to address the housing crisis.

Guy Fortt is a distinguished real estate investor and co-founder of Synergy1 Holdings LLC, a company committed to multifamily real estate investments. With a focus on raising private capital and revitalizing urban neighborhoods, Mr. Fortt co-manages a portfolio of over 53 residential units throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. His dedication to enhancing communities shines through his efforts in acquiring and renovating distressed properties, including those with the potential for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
With over 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, Guy Fortt has successfully managed residential multifamily properties and led numerous renovation and construction projects. His expertise and relentless pursuit of initiatives that create affordable housing, generate employment opportunities, and enrich residents' quality of life, have led to the successful completion of two ADU development projects. This experience underscores his commitment to real estate and community development.
Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Guy is a retired firefighter who courageously participated in the rescue and recovery efforts during 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. After 30 years of honorable service, he followed his passion for performing on Broadway in "The Color Purple" and appearing on popular TV shows, including "Law & Order." Transitioning fully into multifamily investments after retiring from the fire service, he also explores underwriting and syndication opportunities to secure funding for affordable housing and other meaningful projects.
Guy Fortt's academic qualifications reflect his commitment to personal development and his ability to apply his knowledge to his professional endeavors. With a bachelor's degree in Organizational Management and a master's degree in Sports and Entertainment Management, he channels his energy into Synergy1 Holdings LLC. Here, he passionately raises funds and revitalizes communities through transformative real estate investments and developments. Guy's academic background equips him with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the real estate sector.

Angela Kelly serves as the Senior Vice President of Sales Operations at Walker & Dunlop Affordable Equity, formerly known as Alliant Capital. In her role, she collaborates with the LIHTC Originations and Investor Relations teams, overseeing their operational, administrative, and governance functions.
With over 17 years of experience in the LIHTC industry, Angela has held various positions, including Vice President of Acquisition/Project Manager, where she successfully closed lower-tier deals totaling over $1.2 billion in development costs. Previously, she worked as a Senior Financial Analyst, assessing deal feasibility, crafting lower-tier financial models, and scrutinizing property audits and tax returns.
Angela emigrated from Belize. She attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, concentration in Finance.
Angela lives in Los Angeles and her hobbies include golfing, traveling, and solving puzzles.

Kiara Lanier is a musician and the founder of Circa Wellness Society, a health and hospitality company which specializes in project managing residential and commercial communities which make holistic health accessible amidst a metropolitan lifestyle.
Prior to founding Circa Wellness Society, Kiara Lanier has been an internationally touring recording artist having performed in tv shows and stages to include American Idol, Empire, The Chi, The Chicago Theater and contemporary museums across the U.S. London Paris Switzerland and Germany. Kiara has over 10 years of real estate property management and project management experience with companies in Los Angeles and Chicago. Kiara has studied Communication, Journalism and Creative Writing at the University of Missouri Columbia and has furthered her development certification in the Ross Development program at USC. Her current projects include the building of her Circa Wellness mixed use housing, health care and hospitality centers in Ghana, Dubai, Senegal and Liberia. Kiara currently lives between Thailand and Dakar Senegal.

Irlanda Martinez is a seasoned housing and community development professional with a robust background in affordable housing policy, urban planning, and social justice. Currently serving as a Housing Programs Analyst for the City of Santa Ana, Irlanda manages various affordable housing initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering community engagement.
Before her current role, Irlanda worked as a Project Manager at Harris & Associates, where she led multiple affordable housing and planning projects, including the development of Housing and Environmental Justice Elements and the establishment of California's first Community Revitalization and Investment Authority. Her experience at RSG, Inc. further honed her expertise in economic development, compliance monitoring, and fiscal analysis for housing developments.
Irlanda’s commitment to community empowerment is evident through her roles as a Community Development and Housing Commissioner and a Board Member of THRIVE Community Land Trust in Santa Ana. Fluent in Spanish, she has also provided translation services, bridging communication gaps in her community.
With a passion for inclusive and equitable economic development, Irlanda continues to leverage her skills in policy analysis, project management, and community organizing to make a lasting impact on underserved populations.

Yajaira Morales is a dedicated housing professional with a passion for creating equitable and inclusive communities through affordable housing. Currently, Yajaira works as a Housing Project Manager, where she plays a key role in advancing affordable housing initiatives for the City of East Palo Alto. She collaborates with developers, city officials, and legal teams to ensure compliance with local policies, overseeing projects such as Colibri Commons and Light Tree ASHC Apartments. Her expertise includes managing Inclusionary Housing Agreements, overseeing Below Market Rate programs, the CalHome program, and bridging the gap between community needs and real estate development.
Her journey in the housing industry began with CORA, a nonprofit supporting survivors of domestic violence, where she held multiple positions, ultimately serving as the Manager of Housing and Safe Haven. Working in San Mateo County, a region where securing housing is particularly challenging—Yajaira navigated the complexities of finding stable housing for clients despite limited resources. She successfully built strong relationships with landlords and partnered with other nonprofits to expand housing opportunities for survivors. Additionally, she has extensive experience managing multiple grants across the county and collaborating with organizations such as 4Cs of San Mateo County.
Yajaira is driven by a desire to address systemic disparities in housing and land use policies. She is focused on deepening her knowledge in real estate finance and urban planning to lead impactful projects that deliver sustainable housing solutions. With a strong commitment to community-driven development, she strives to create housing opportunities that empower individuals and foster inclusive neighborhoods.

Anne Riggs is an Associate and Inclusive Design Lead at David Baker Architects (DBA), where she combines her expertise in accessibility with a commitment to designing housing that fosters dignity, inclusivity, and community. With over 15 years of experience, Anne focuses on creating equitable, sustainable housing solutions that support diverse communities. As a Certified Access Specialist (CASp), she leads DBA's inclusive design efforts and advocates for accessible environments in affordable housing developments.
Anne’s approach to architecture is rooted in the belief that design is not just about buildings—it’s about building communities and responding to the needs of people. She understands that the complex challenges of housing affordability and homelessness require architects to balance competing needs and constraints while upholding values of justice, sustainability, and human dignity.
She has worked on transformative affordable housing projects, including Claremont South Village and The Bridge at West Gateway, where her focus on holistic, community-oriented design has played a crucial role. Anne believes architects have a unique responsibility to not only design spaces but to engage as leaders and advocates in their communities, working to make a tangible, positive impact through thoughtful, inclusive design.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and is active in professional organizations, including AIA Los Angeles and CASI (Certified Access Specialist Institute), where she serves on the board.
Anne is passionate about building a future where housing is a fundamental right, and where the spaces we create are a reflection of our shared values. She lives in Los Angeles and looks forward to applying the insights from the Ross Program to further her efforts in driving forward meaningful change in the real estate and architectural fields.

Shane Terry is a General Partner and co-founder of Ritual Development Group based in Las Vegas Nevada.
Shane brings a unique diversity to the team stemming from over 20 years of operational leadership and management experience in some of the world’s most dynamic organizations. A graduate of the US Air Force Academy, Shane went on to serve 3 combat tours as an F-16 fighter pilot, graduated #1 in his class at the Air Force Weapons School (Top Gun), and was ranked #1 of over 3,000 Air Force officers, finishing his military career as a Flight Commander and senior instructor pilot at Air Force Top Gun.
Since departing the military in 2014 Shane has progressed on his entrepreneurial journey as founder/CEO of multiple highly regulated cannabis companies requiring extensive construction and project management to bring industrial, manufacturing and retail facilities from concept to operations. He has also obtained Director-level capital markets experience, consulted or operated in over 4 countries, and currently sits on the Nevada Governor’s Advisory Counsel.
Shane continuous to dedicate his time into the Las Vegas community outside of his business ventures and previously volunteered for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Nevada as well as co-founded a public-private mural arts partnership (501c3). He has been active in the Las Vegas Arts District since 2010 as a former board member, fueling his own passion for community and urban planning, event creation, and music.
Through Ritual Development Group, Shane is structuring the acquisition and development of a portfolio of commercial properties in the vibrant Las Vegas Arts District which has been dubbed “Las Vegas’ Hottest Neighborhood.” The project is aiming to be a cornerstone example of creative placemaking and urban development in nascent art communities. Shane is currently pursuing a Certificate in Real Estate Capital Markets from NYU and following the completion of the Ross Program, Shane intends to pursue a Masters in Real Estate Development while continuing to reside in Las Vegas.
