Colliers Merges Platform with FirstService to Claim No. 3

... The combination between FirstService and Colliers is the culmination of an overall strategy to be a fully integrated, global commercial real estate firm that delivers a high standard of client service, Taylor said.
"With this combination, we're now the third-largest commercial real estate firm in the world," he said. "In addition to that, in our opinion, we are the most global of the top three in terms of the markets that we're in and the depth that we have in the international markets that we occupy. We have a very strong presence under this combination now in Europe, London, financial centers in Asia, and we think this positions us to provide the highest level of client service throughout the U.S. and globally."

Investing in Growth
According to Stan Ross, chairman of the University of Southern California's Lusk Center for Real Estate, moves such as this are to be expected in the commercial real estate industry. Ross noted there are benefits to be gained from the downturn if real estate companies take the right steps to become more productive and efficient with stronger teams operating with increased transparency.
