Biography

Adam Larson has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Cottonwood Communities since October 2018, overseeing the financial strategy and operations of the firm's $2.3 billion multifamily REIT. As a key member of the Executive Committee, he plays an integral role in capital markets, acquisitions, and the structuring and execution of financing and refinancing strategies. His leadership extends across all aspects of the firm’s financial and investment decisions, ensuring long-term growth, stability, and value creation for investors.

Before becoming CFO, Mr. Larson was Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Cottonwood Residential, Inc., where he provided strategic oversight in asset management, financial planning and analysis, and property operations. Prior to joining Cottonwood in 2013, he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising in the real estate, consumer/retail, and healthcare sectors. His experience also includes roles at Barclays Capital, Bonneville Real Estate Capital, and Hitachi Consulting.

A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Mr. Larson holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
