James Williams III is a Director of Equity Asset Management at MetLife Investment Management, where he oversees an institutional real estate portfolio encompassing multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and manufactured housing assets across California and Arizona. His responsibilities consist primarily of separate accounts, for which he serves as managing member. Since joining MetLife in 2019, his responsibilities have spanned dispositions, value-add repositioning, leasing, and debt and equity capital structuring. Within MetLife Investment Management, he also volunteers as a member of the PropTech Committee and the Multifamily Committee.
Prior to MetLife, James served as a commercial real estate broker and appraiser at Colliers International.
James holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, a Center Member of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate, an active member of the Urban Land Institute, and a board member of the USC Black Alumni Association.
