Jim Kasim serves as Chief Financial Officer of Kingsbarn Realty Capital, a leading investment manager providing real estate securities to institutional and accredited investors. Jim is responsible for the company’s financial and administrative operations, with oversight of all financial planning and reporting, capital markets, treasury management, debt management, tax planning, information technology, and human resources. In addition, Jim is integrally involved in developing and executing the overall corporate strategy for the company.
Prior to joining the company, Jim served in several executive capacities with publicly-listed and privately-held real estate investment companies and has been involved with in excess of $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Most recently, Jim held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Hertz Investment Group where he spearheaded its public offering of debt securities, among other initiatives. In addition, Jim previously served with Ernst & Young’s Real Estate and Hospitality practice, where his clients included some of the largest real estate and hospitality companies in the nation.
Jim received an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated with honors, and a Masters degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University. Jim also has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and also a Certified Management Accountant.
