Jim Kasim serves as Managing Partner, Finance of Winnick & Company, a leading private equity firm that owns and operates an institutional-quality portfolio of investments in various asset classes, including real estate. Jim is responsible for the company’s financial and administrative operations, with oversight of all financial planning and reporting, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, capital markets, treasury management, debt management, tax planning, information technology, and human resources. In addition, Jim is integrally involved in developing and executing the overall corporate strategy for the company.
Prior to joining the company, Jim served in several executive capacities with publicly-listed and privately-held real estate investment companies and has been involved with in excess of $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions. In addition, Jim previously served with Ernst & Young’s Real Estate and Hospitality practice, where his clients included some of the largest real estate and hospitality companies in the nation.
Jim received an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC), where he graduated with honors, and a Masters degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University. Jim also has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and also a Certified Management Accountant.
Jim serves on the Executive Committee for the Lusk Center for Real Estate at USC and has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the School of Policy, Planning and Development in the Masters of Real Estate Program at USC.
