Biography

James Marzouk is a Co-Founder and Principal of Sweetzer Capital, a next-generation hospitality group and investor focused on scaling best-in-class consumer brands. The firm has partnerships with both PopUp Bagels and Go Greek Yogurt to support their growth across Southern California.

Prior to founding Sweetzer Capital, James was an investor at CIM Group, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm with $30 billion in assets under management. While at CIM, he sourced, evaluated, and executed over $1 billion in transactions across major U.S. markets—including the $255 million acquisition of a 1,012-unit community in Phoenix, the largest market-rate multifamily deal in the city’s history.

He is a graduate of Beverly Hills High School and the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development with a minor in Finance.
