U.S. Homeownership Report

April 6, 2005

The Asian households were not part of this research, the USC Professor Gabrielcolor> who published this research said "Japanese (or Japanese-American) households show as high or higher rates of home ownership than the White household."

The reports indicates good economy of the 90's, decrease in mortgage interest rates and development of new products in the home financial category as the reasons for home ownership increase.

Even with these factors, the difference between the races continues. Professor Gabriel pointed out "Home ownership increase leads to increase in community security. More effort in making it easier for the Minorities to purchase home loans is necessary."
