According to the University of Southern California, Lusk Center\'s Casden Forecast, 10,900 units were under construction in Los Angeles as of year-end 2005; 4,300 units were under construction in Orange County; and 6,700 units were under way in the Inland Empire. According to the forecast, the number of new units in 2005 eclipsed demand in the Inland Empire with 2006 poised to do the same.
