Jeff Collins A slowdown in growing home prices in Orange County was inevitable, experts said. "It makes sense," said Delores Conway, of USC's Lusk Center for Real Estate. "Trees don't grow to the sky." Conway noted that a recent Lusk Center study indicated that as home prices increased in Orange County in recent years, mortgage payments remained virtually unchanged, thanks to lower interest rates and innovations such as interest-only loans.
