Housing market strong through '05, economist predicts

USC's Lusk Center for Real Estate predicts that for the rest of 2005, housing prices will continue to move upward in major markets, appreciating from 2 percent to 8 percent across the U.S.
Lusk Center economists base their prediction on the following:
New financing scenarios, such as loans based on interest-only payments or extended to 40-year terms, will continue to attract buyers to higher priced markets.
