Anne Riggs is an Associate and Inclusive Design Lead at David Baker Architects (DBA), where she combines her expertise in accessibility with a commitment to designing housing that fosters dignity, inclusivity, and community. With over 15 years of experience, Anne focuses on creating equitable, sustainable housing solutions that support diverse communities. As a Certified Access Specialist (CASp), she leads DBA's inclusive design efforts and advocates for accessible environments in affordable housing developments.
Anne’s approach to architecture is rooted in the belief that design is not just about buildings—it’s about building communities and responding to the needs of people. She understands that the complex challenges of housing affordability and homelessness require architects to balance competing needs and constraints while upholding values of justice, sustainability, and human dignity.
She has worked on transformative affordable housing projects, including Claremont South Village and The Bridge at West Gateway, where her focus on holistic, community-oriented design has played a crucial role. Anne believes architects have a unique responsibility to not only design spaces but to engage as leaders and advocates in their communities, working to make a tangible, positive impact through thoughtful, inclusive design.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and is active in professional organizations, including AIA Los Angeles and CASI (Certified Access Specialist Institute), where she serves on the board.
Anne is passionate about building a future where housing is a fundamental right, and where the spaces we create are a reflection of our shared values. She lives in Los Angeles and looks forward to applying the insights from the Ross Program to further her efforts in driving forward meaningful change in the real estate and architectural fields.
