Stephen is a retired Equity Partner and Managing Director of Clarion Partners, with more than 30 years of real estate investment management experience. He was a member of Clarion Partner's Executive Board responsible for managing a business with $40 billion of real estate assets under management. In his leadership role, he was responsible for business strategy and planning, general management, compensation, recruiting and developing professionals. Stephen has broad real estate experience across the major U.S. markets and all property types. He is an accomplished portfolio manager, having created and managed several large institutional portfolios and funds.
Stephen serves on the Board of Directors of the James Campbell Company. He also serves on the Board of Directors and is a Trustee of the University of Colorado Foundation. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the University of Colorado Real Estate Foundation, and is past Chairman of the Board of Clarion Partners Property Trust. Stephen earned a B.S. degree in Business from the University of the Colorado Boulder and an M.B.A. in Finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is a member of the University of Colorado Real Estate Center Global Advisory Board and the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate Executive Committee.
