Erica Alexis, also known as "The Lady Builder" is the founder and owner of Bridgeline Development and Construction, a rapidly growing company specializing in commercial and residential new construction. The company was founded in 2015 and rebranded as Bridgeline in 2021 as a vehicle to spur impactful construction development experiences in the industry. Bridgeline partners with local property owners, developers, contractors, and investors to advance self-sustainable environments in underdeveloped urban communities to increase diverse business growth through building legacy projects.
Erica Alexis set out at an early age to follow her grandfather’s footsteps who was a very successful developer-builder in the Bay Area. Her grandparents built multifamily units, grocery stores and recreational centers in the Bay Area and their hard work and success inspired her limitless vision. Alexis bought several properties in 2006 and unfortunately her family and personal investment portfolio didn’t survive the real estate downturn crisis of 2008. Five years later, she decided to build a new legacy.
Bridgeline has built and managed over 30 million on design-build projects. Projects range from the LAX Airport Police Facility; Underground Infrastructure for the LAX Automated People Mover; Clippers Stadium; to Tenant Improvements for clients such as Simply Wholesome, Yogurtland, New Body Products, and multifamily renovations- newly constructed mixed-use developments, residential townhomes, additions and ADUs.
Erica “The Lady Builder” Alexis is a B-licensed general contractor, UCLA graduate, and commercial real estate developer, who believes in providing excellent quality deliverables to the end client. Her core team has been with her since 2015, which shows her commitment to preserving long term business relationships. From finance to completion, her credo in becoming a true partner to the end client by providing “whatever is needed to get the job done with excellence,” is what has taken the construction industry by storm.
In 2016, Erica Alexis led the University of Southern California Lusk Ross Program in Real Estate winning team for “Best Development Proposal.” Alexis is a proud graduate from University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She received Construction Management experience from CSU Dominguez Hills, and Hotel Revenue Management expertise from Cornell University. Alexis is a member of Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors, We Care LA (non-profit), National Association of Minority Contractors, and a lifetime member of the USC Lusk Ross Alumni, HireLAX Alumni, Loyola Marymount Ascend Alumni, UCLA Varsity Club and UCLA Alumni Association. She recently received the Lakers and Comerica Bank Business - Woman of Entrepreneurship Award 2024.
In her spare time Alexis enjoys playing chess, golf, traveling, salsa and tango dancing.
