
Christiana Kyrillou is an experienced architect and leader with over 25 years dedicated to the growth of internationally recognized design firms. Her work includes the key role of building and establishing new successful offices, and leading collaborations between a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams in both international and local projects spanning varied sectors, scales, and complexities.
Christiana’s titles have included Los Angeles Studio Executive Chair, Principal in Charge, and San Francisco Studio Executive Chair. Her career journey has been dynamic with several remarkable opportunities of note, partnering to launch the start-up of Woods Bagot’s first office in the United States in San Francisco in 2008, and several years later, in 2019, by taking the lead role in launching and establishing the successful Los Angeles Studio, delivering large scale work to prominent groups including the Los Angeles International Airport and major tech firms.
The work of growing these offices encompassed a wide range of contributions including creating brand awareness, building teams, managing operations, developing and delivering strategic growth plans, becoming deeply embedded in professional networks, pursuing clients, as well as cultural and project leadership. In 2022, she was appointed California Management Stream Leader collaborating across both west coast locations, to deliver on the strategy of creating a combined California Studio partnership. During this time, each studio grew to a 25-person plus team, winning and delivering outstanding work together.
Prior to Woods Bagot, Christiana was an Associate at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, where she begun her career in 1999, working on international large scale mixed use tall tower projects such as the China World Trade Center Phase 3, and key notable local projects such as the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. Christiana graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1999. She holds a BFA in Historic Preservation and a Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees.
Christiana is passionate about building healthy communities through collaborative team partnerships fostering growth, excellence, care, creativity, and opportunities for all team members. This has inspired her deep involvement and leadership within national and local organizations including the AIA, CREW, SPUR, ULI and more. She takes great joy working collaboratively to support missions focused on sustainability, resilience, and placemaking.
Christiana is thrilled to pursue her next chapter in the intrepid work to build thriving and inspired communities while delivering extraordinary work of scale and impact. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
