Previously, as a Design Fellow for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development under Mayor Garcetti and the Chief Design Officer Christopher Hawthorne, Alejandro contributed to transformative initiatives such as the Low-Rise: Housing Ideas for Los Angeles Challenge, and the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Standard Plan program, shaping "missing middle" housing policy for the city.
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Alejandro is deeply committed to advancing equity in his community. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Design and Community & Regional Development from UC Davis, and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs.
Alejandro leads SLAAI with a focus on building a more equitable future for South LA. Upon completion of the Ross Real Estate Program, he intends to support capacity building efforts to the faith-based community in South LA to become leaders in real estate efforts in the community.
